During the corona virus crisis I have made this small painting. At the moment, all our senses can become tunneled when it limits our perception of this crisis. The stress that it brings with it, results that our vision becomes tunneled, impaired. But a positive note is that, nature is erupting in all its beauty and colour, now that human kind has left it alone for a while. That is what I tried to depict in this painting.
A symphony of colors. My perspective is the way I see abstract art and freedom that inspire me in making individual visual connections.
These colored blocks form one entity, flowing into each other as one with the abstract Star of David. It represents The State of Israel as a multicultural society, a beautiful colorful country in all of its aspects. Always curious to learn about all different cultures whom are part and partial of Israel.
Earth is one very special planet and this place is full of intricate colored beauty. A world with uncountable planets floating in the universe and with so many mysteries still to be discovered.
This sensational universe exists beyond boundaries, not made by man. It is hard to imagine how far it reaches. Lots of mysteries are still to be uncovered and its secrets are shed behind bands of color.
This painting represents the industrialization of the world. A city like a little speck on this earth like so many other cities; congested, loud traffic, activity, smoke coming out of chimneys of factories. People doing their own thing and rushing around. A city that never sleeps. That is what this painting is all about.
I see civilization as the opposite of chaos and anarchy. New York, a densely populated island where a thunderstorm was luring over during my visit over there. It was as if the sky was loaded with electricity. After my visit to New York it was difficult to let it go. I felt like being swallowed up by the neighborhoods of interests that I visited. I felt looking up, that the skyscrapers nearly touched the sky. New York for me has many divisions. For me a diptych in this case would be appropriate.
This painting is dedicated to Mother Earth in all its glory and color. Alive and a provider of all. Great and powerful and yet so very delicate.
The shades of grey depict in my painting the various emotions and turmoil we face each day. Nothing is right and nothing is wrong. I am trying to create a neutral sphere that brings about a sense of peace.
The twilight that fell over this mystic place in a mountainous region gave me a feeling as if I stood somewhere in the middle of a fairy tale. A magical time where the daylight became dusk, with the sound of water rushing through this small town where I had been.
Jewish life abounds in symbols and religious objects - visual and tangible. I have painted in an abstract manner important symbols in Judaism.
A fire in the sky, a forever coming back sunset reflecting in the water. A town that seems to go up in flames, that takes on shades of orange every single day. It seems as if the water has caught fire by the reflection of the sun and laying its head down for the night for it to wake up in the morning again and this beautiful cycle and wonder of nature can start all over again.
Fireworks, an abundance of colors in the sky, shooting straight up before exploding. A celebration of color and light bursts. The whizzing whistles, thunderous thud sounds and the big bangs to fill up the night sky. I find firework a magic experience, a celebration, a soundtrack of a happy state of mind.
On one of my travels to Europe I came across a very small historical congested town and got lost in the maze of lovely small streets. The place was like a picture postcard, full of color, a few of the houses were white-washed. It was as if modern life had not arrived yet in this place and that time stood still.
This painting is about a hurricane that hits the coast with an incredible speed causing devastation. Having no mercy and lifting up all that is in its way. Objects fly through the sky and neon signs flash. The colorful power of nature cannot be stopped.
The sea has many secrets. In the deepest, darkest depth of the ocean the sea reveals breathtaking creatures. These creatures might be unusual and very abstract looking and are often unseen, their eyes are watching us from the bottom of the sea. I made this painting after I had the most incredible experience having a look at these aquatic creatures whilst snorkeling in the Mediterranean. It tickled my imagination.
These beautiful vivid festive colors all relate to each other. It begins with the oval shape painted at the very background. From there on it evolves in different shapes. The related colorful shapes one can compare with the human race. We all go our different ways and we all connect or interconnect. The thin white line that connects both canvasses symbolizes the two opposites of the globe separated but connected.
Integrated shapes flowing, moving freely not controlled. Waters, green pastures, deserts, loving natures beauty.
Happiness expresses itself often in colors and are often used to impact your mood. This diptych is an expression of strong emotional presence with no boundaries. The energy from all colors melt feastfully together and they end up with a dance of twirl.
